Kahului Airport is located on the tropical paradise island of Maui on the northern edge of the land bridge between Haleakala and the West Maui Mountain Range, three miles east of the town of Kahului.. The airport occupies nearly 1400 acres with two intersecting runways. The airport serves domestic overseas and inter-island commercial flights. Kahului Airport also provides commuter/air taxi and general aviation operations, including helicopter operations.

Kahului Airport is part of the Airports Division of Hawaii's Department of Transportation. There are 15 airports and airfields in HDOT, including six on Maui alone.

Directions

Kahului Airport is accessible from the Haleakala and Hana Highways. The town of Kahului is only about three miles from the airport, and the drive only takes about five minutes. From the western edge of the island to the airport is about 26.5 miles; travel time is about 45 minutes.

From Kahului

Take Kaahumanu Avenue east toward Hana Highway. Veer left at Haleakala Highway, then left at Keolani Place.

From Lahaina (on the western side of Maui)

Take Honoapiilani Highway to Kuihelani Highway. Veer right at Dairy Road to Keolani Place.
