Located in Upstate South Carolina, between the cities of Greenville and Spartanburg, Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport began operations in 1962 at what was known then as Roger Milliken Field. Today, the airport boasts 226,000 square feet of space, second level jet bridge boarding, and 13 departure gates.

• GSP is about 11 miles east-northeast of Greenville, 17 miles west-southwest of Spartanburg, and 4 miles south of Greer. The airport also is fairly easy to access from nearby North Carolina and Georgia.

• From Atlanta, Georgia (2.5 hours): I-85 north to Exit 57
• From Asheville, North Carolina (1 hour): I-26 east to I-85 south to Exit 57
